40,000Miles, Ultras

Welcome to Boomeragnar

Welcome to Boomeragnar, our online presence focused on the running of the Ragnar Relay in Napa Valley.  Our mixed team of six runners, three men and three women, is comprised of the last of the boomers born in 1964 who see this 200-mile relay as a run for their life … a metaphorical event that could significantly affect the outcome of their overall mental disposition as they approach a half century in the coming years.  Will such a physically demanding race recalibrate their personal expectations on what they can accomplish as part of a new breed of aging competitors or will is simply be the last hurrah, completed in style along the fruit-laden hill-scapes of America’s wine country.

About RunnerX

A Penn State Wrestler turned avid short and long-distance runner, Dean enjoys competitive 5K and 10K races on the weekends, long-distance ultra relays and the occasional off trail adventure in far away places. His discovery of Ragnar Relays has been a catalyst for launching this blog, 40,000 Miles on Foot. If you find yourself in Atlanta, give a shout and maybe will hit the road.
